3 c flour 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp salt 2 c brown sugar
3/4 c butter 1 c milk
2 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs
3/4 c chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour , brown sugar, baking powder and salt
Add butter and mix to fine crumb consistencey. Reserve 1 cup of this mix for topping.
Stir milk and vanilla into other crumb mixture. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Pour batter into greased cake pans. Put the remaining butter into remaining crumb mix - add nuts and chocolate chips. Sprinkle over batter.
Bake 50 minutes and drizzle a thin brown frosting over warm cake.
